Wild Birds – Long Tailed Tit
Long Tailed Tit
The long-tailed tit is easily recognisable with its distinctive colouring, a tail which is bigger than its body, and undulating flight. You can see them near our Bug Hotels and around the woodland walk and in the hedges. It builds a domed nest in hedges or the fork of a tree out of moss. It lines the nest with as many over a 1000 feathers to make a cosy home. It lays around 10 – 12 eggs.
