Lavender Essential Oil:
Directions for use; Our 100% pure lavender essential oil has both medicinal and therapeutic properties. One of the few essential oils that can be used neat; it has both inflammatory and antiseptic properties. For massage add 2-3 drops to 10ml of carrier oil or lotion. For bathing, inhalation or vaporization use 4-5 drops added to water.

We extract our 100% Pure Wolds Way Lavender Essential Oil from the lavender growing in our fields. We use the traditional method of steam distillation. We are a family run Lavender Farm. We have a hands on, attention to detail approach at each stage of the production, from oil extraction to the end product.
The distillery at Wolds Way Lavender is unique, as it is the only wood-fired steam distillery in the country. We are the only Lavender Farm in the North of England to distil Lavender Essential Oil.
In the distillation process, lavender is cut and collected from our fields using our specially designed lavender harvester. It is then brought in from the fields by our miniature railway. We then hand-load the freshly cut lavender into the distillation vat. A large kettle sits over the wood fire. It takes around and hour from lighting the fire Steam for steam to be produced. The steam is then passed through the lavender to evaporate the lavender essential oil. The steam and evaporated oil pass through a condenser which cools them back down to a liquid. The distillation process takes around 3 hours and approximately 700 English Lavender Angustifolia plants are needed to produce 1 litre of our 100% Pure Wolds Way Lavender Essential Oil. “Our liquid gold”.
